I am getting ready to put a 350 in my convertible 91 RS and throw away the 305. I was looking at the heater hoses. I bought a hose kit and it has a lot of hose's in it. Now I know why. The heater hoses are pretty complex. I guess my question is do I need them or can I just go from the block to the heater box and dump straight into the radiator? I plan on keeping my A/C. Why is there so many hoses and that big black valve? I am getting rid of the smog pump and debating on weather or not getting rid of the cat. I have no smog check. I am shooting for a clean show worthy engine comp.
