the motor is in buuuuuutttt:
i got the LT1 / 4L60E in my 91 rs, (by that, i mean the MOUNTS are in lace, the drive shaft is in, and still has a lot of work before it runs)
but, as someone mentioned before, i have to "convert it from push to pull"..
they failed to mention how (or if) they have done that in the past..
so.... how do you "convert it from push to pull" or.. pull to push whatever it is...
all i know is that going from reverse to park is actually park to reverse and i need to put the cable on the other side, or build some kind of bracketry for the transmission.
the car i got the motor / trans out of was a cadillac fleetwood, so... it was a column shifter, not a floor shifter like the vettes / camaros.
or......... if the best option to spend a bunch of money and buy a shifter out of a 4th gen camaro and go out to a junk yard and find a bracket for the transmission for the LT1 cars and bolt it into my car????
i'm trying to do this on a serious budget, and i'd rather pay a few bucks for some steel and fab something if the other option is
"yeah go to this website and buy this thing this guy makes for $295"
but..... any and all help and advice is appreciated.
