5.3 LSx or a 454 BBC?

Hey guys, I'm debating, and I'm not too sure where I want to go yet.

I'm thinking either the 5.3 LSx, turbo'd with a T56 behind on a Ford 9" with 3.27's. This includes porting and polishing, a possible deck, etc. on a Blow-through carburetor, or possibly EFI'd. I'm not sure really where I'm gonna go as far as bottom end, but I hear these LM7 motors can handle anywhere from 15-20 psi of boost on a stock bottom end, but I was figuring maybe 12psi for some oomph.

But I was talking to a buddy of mine, him and his dad built a drag car, and race at Monster Mopar and what-not and said it'd just be cheaper to build a big block, but something seems fishy to me with that.

But then I got to thinking about doing a big block, preferably my favorite big-block, a 454. Was thinking of doing all motor to around 700hp on a T56 that's been done-over and built with stronger parts to handle the beefier torque (not sure where the 454 will end up torque-wise, but I'm figuring it'd be up there), on a Ford 9" with 3.73's. Of course, no matter the ratios in the rear, I'm wanting to do posi.

Thoughts? Concerns?

What would I definitely need for either project? I know for the LSx I'd need special motor mounts.
