Can anyone tell me what I missed I have an 86 Iroc with a tpi and a 91 with a tbi both 305s so i have a good understanding of both motors but i just changed my tbi to tpi everything went well till i started it. It starts but only with starter fluid, pump works, car will run but its dumping too much fuel into exhaust .Car runs but when u hit the gas it huts off . Motor came out of a 92 camaro and was set up for speed density everything was there. Im stumped if theres anyone that can give me a few ideas i would love the help thanx.

 

If it's running that rich you might have leaking injectors or a tear in your fuel pressure regulator diaphragm. What is your base timing set at ?

 

Thank u for the info ill check both,I dont know what the timing is set at I had someone set it for me.I have another set of injectors from my 86 will they work in a 92 if not ill just buy new ones hey thank u for the help.

 

you ever get that TPI to run right? I did that swap as well 92 rs 305/t5 to SD 355 TPI was very easy all I had to do was re-pin the c100 for the speedo
