1987 Corvette TPI into 1992 Formula 350?
Well my engine has been knocking for a while now and I am finally ready to replace it. I have a chance to buy a 350 TPI from a 1987 Corvette that has 35000 miles on it. My question is this. I know my car has speed density on it but if I swap the intake over everything else should work just fine correct? I know I will need to swap all accessories but as far as being able to use the engine in my car is the question. Any help is appreciated.

You just install all your parts/ sensors on the 87 long block
Be sure to swap the knock sensor as that is different between MAF and SD engines

The 113 heads will have "straight" center intake bolt holes, IIRC.

Are "128" heads but same difference.
Either use the Vette intake base and plug the CSI hole
or elongate the 4 center holes on your '92 base to suit the bolt angle on the Vette heads
Many aftermarket heads come with the center holes like this so one intake fits both style heads

I am pretty sure there is a company that makes a block off for the CSI correct?
I would rather not have to swap out the distributor. I'm almost sure everything else will bolt right up. Runners and all

You can use your runners and plenum off your 92, the oil pan and pickup will need to be changed as well. If you are in a emission area the corvette heads do not have a egr passage and need to be feed from the rear of the vette intake. The rh head needs to be drilled for your accessory bracket. You will also benefit from having your memcal reprogramed. You might want to read this thread.

You can still use your small cap dizzy you will just need to notch the coil mounting bracket to clear the coolant crossover of the corvette intake.

Went ahead and bought a 1991 corvette L98 with 44k miles. Swap going to start soon. Plan in ordering a Canton oil pan and have Hawks do a six speed conversion.

So I will presume I need to change the oil pan. I am thinking of buying the Canton 244T. I hope and pray this fits with a Dyno Don Y-pipe.
