Re: question on converting a v6 car to a v8

that's easier, but you'll still need springs, transmission, exhaust, motor mounts, maybe a radiator.

read end and drive shaft stay the same unless you want a different gear ratio

Get these chassis brackets, early v6 cars didn't have these (maybe z28 only at the time?) & make a wonder bar. This connects the swaybar mounts together. This helps prevent the frame from cracking at the steering gearbox area. The holes for the chassis bracket should already be there, they were on my 84 v6 camaro.

Fuel lines on from drivers side to pass side and removing in tank fuel pump for injection to a lower pressure carb pump

Re: question on converting a v6 car to a v8

went to check out the car today. the floors are so rust free its impossible. for the car to be sitting on dirt for 17 years, i was just amazed. there is not a spec of rust on the undercarriage. the interior is mint. the car has under 70,000 miles, and it is fully optioned. privacy shade, rear cargo cover and lock, overhead console, full digital dash and stereo, power windows, power mirrors, carpeted black plastics, leather and velour seats, and upgraded interior lighting. all factory car, never touched. hard top, complete turbine rims, straight body, all i have to replace are the doors because the water pooled in the bottom of them due to bad seals. im going to pick the car up next week so thats when i will start the build thread. ill post the link to it here when i start it.
