I'm (obviously) doing the swap. And before I get in too deep (all I've done so far is unhook the 350) I wanna know if anyone has some hints or tips from personal or past experiences that would help me out. Thanks

What is the 350 coming out of? Is your 305 tbi? Is the 350 tbi or tpi? Either or make sure you grab the ecm from whatever the 350 is coming out of. I did a tbi 350 from a 1992 suburban into my 1989 camaro. Mind you, I was still running factory tbi ecm with camaro harness. I just switched the ecm only to the burbz ecm and now it doesn't run rich anymore.

He talking about the sensors on each side of your engines. Drivers side is coolant and passenger side is the knock sensor.

Both are have carburetors. No injection in these. Its just a lot simpler to work on for me.
