What can I do that isn't an engine or transmission swap that would make my car drive better? The car has been sitting for a few years. But drives. Doesnt have a steady idle

Is there a "hissing" sound in the area of the vent-controls behind your dash?

Cab it be the timing? Since the car hadn't been moved in awhile? I've done a tune up, spark plugs, wires along with new starter and alternator

A Tune up?

A lot can/ needs/ should be done to a car that has been sitting for a few years.

Change all the fluids, new filters, plugs, wires, cap rotor, basic tune up stuff.

Drain gas tank. Run Sea foam through it.

Replace any questionable hoses.

Did you change Dist. Cap and rotor? PCV Valve? Air Filter?

Timing should not 'move' from sitting, but should always be checked as part of a Tune up. Just changing spark plugs is not a tune up.
