PLEASE help me get my 350 running, REALLY need some help to get it running.
So I pulled my 305 TPI out of my Camaro and dropped a 350 Vortec from a 99 Chevy Savanna 3500. Stock cam with 1.6 roller tip rockers. I used the TPI Edelbrock base plate, and installed the Bosch Ford Yellow injectors, the direct fit ones from ebay. I use an 89 Hypertech 350 Thermo master chip. The Problem Im having is the car will start and run at 300-500 rpm for a few seconds and then just die. If I put my foot on the throttle in those seconds the car's rpm will rise and it will run. I adjusted the timing to that the mark was at 0 and the distributor was pointing to #1.
I used the harmonic balancer from my 305 along with the timing tab from my 305. Is this the same as using the harmonic balancer from the vortec and the timing tab from the vortec. The mark and tab are in different spots on each engines but I just figured the dampeners match the tabs.
I am also going to try to adjust the TPS and IAC. I really want to get her to run so if anyone can help it would be great.

I can set the TPS but how can i set minimum idle speed without the car running. I dont know what to do here. At one time i read something about the plunger on the IAC motor and how to adjust it by tightening/pushing the plunger I cant find anyhting like that. Im going to set the TPS to .545

You need to figure out what year the TPI stuff is from. What ecm are using also? Is your engine a MAF or Speed density?
