I need help with my swap!!

I am in the process of putting a 98 350 vortec in my 82 camaro that originally had a 2.5 with a 4 speed all information with my swap in particular would be helpful.....currently have the motor bolted up in the car with a t5 trani....some things I need help with are the mechanical zbar and if I need a smaller ball stud...help!!!

I don't have personal experience with the T5's, but I believe you need the parts for the '83 T5.

I honestly didn't think 3rd gens used Z-bars in any year or application, although I understand the early years used a cable clutch (later years were hydraulic).

You might get better information on the Transmission and Drivetrain forum.

I believe 82 and maybe 83 had the zbar but my t5 is out of an 83....would be interested in the hydraulic setup if somebody has it

Okay, my ignorance, first couple of years used the mechanical with Z-bar, '84-up used hydraulic.

Again, the Transmission and Drivetrain forum is a good place to go for more information, including how to convert from mechanical to hydraulic.
