Re: lg4 to 350 swap

The ccc-qjet will run fine. You'll need to make adjustments for the MCS dwell to match the new motor. Changing secondary rods and hanger may also help.

The system will also require replacement of the existing knock sensor and ESC module for a 350 set. Same KS and ESC that would go on an 87 or later 5.7.

Re: lg4 to 350 swap

Mcs dwell is the mixture control solenoid. You will need to hook up,a dwell meter to the carb and use the dwell to find the right adjustment..I know this is a very simple explanation but the best that I can tell you...

There was a really good article by Ray Bohacz in Muscle Machines regarding tuning the qjet

You adjust the MCS dwell by adjusting the idle air bleed.

The Carburetor forum has a sticky in the top section with the factory instructions for the CCC (E4ME) carb.

FWIW, I ran an '86 system on a ZZ4 type 350 with no issues. It adjusted to factory specs as if it was still on the 305. I did change the secondary hanger and rods, but that doesn't affect the adjustments controlled by the computer.

Re: lg4 to 350 swap

The esc is in the esu which plugs to the distributer. When you set the timing you unplug it , look for a single wire from the dist that has an inline plug. However you should be able to run the same distributor and intake on the engine.
