Engine and Transmission Compatability on 88 RS

hey guys i gotta question, i have a 88' 2.8 V6 Camaro RS Automatic. Does anyone happen to know what kind of transmission it has on it? My engine is jacked up and one of my buddies has a Chevy Small block that he pulled out of his 87 IROC i just wanted to make sure i knew what transmission i had so i can plan accordingly on this engineswap in the case that the small block doesnt bolt onto my current transmission. Some people are telling me that my car has the 200r4 while others are saying its a 700r4. My car is 100% stock all original. Any advice on this?

It's a 700.

Has the 6-cyl bolt pattern and the reduced # of clutches compared to others so it's still just a 6-cyl one.

the only 3rd gen F body to get an overdrive automatic that wasn't a 700r4 was the '89 Turbo Trans Am that had the GN motor and trans in it... the V6 trans that you have won't bolt up to a V8..
