looking to do a 350 swap but not sure what car/truck i should pull it from and what year sould i look in

Gary and Vetteoz are completely correct, but depending on your overall goals, you may not necessarily need to restrict yourself to just that motor. Are you looking for a motor that you can just swap in, slap an intake & carb on and use? If so, then I agree with their suggestion 100%. However, if you're going to rebuild the motor you get, and especially if you're going to use different and/or aftermarket heads, your options for a starting point open up a lot wider, mainly to ANY 350 that is roller-cam ready.

Please be aware that not all 880 blocks are fully machined for a mechanical fuel pump, some have no coolant bypass hole at the pump and some don't make nice with several aftermarket timing covers.

Going to buy one and rebuild it and then put in just don't want to meany problems trying to put it in

It is just another SBC , identical to the 305 you have now and fits exactly the same.
