does removing egr effect your catalytic converter?
i removed the air pump/egr all around and used the block off plates. i heard that the air pump heats up the converter do i need to remove the converters? also this is going into a 3rd gen so do i need different headers or can i use the lt1 aftermarket headers since i need the o2 sensor ?

Yes you need the 02 sensor.
You need headers and Y pipe 4 a 3rd gen, not a LT1.
Air pump pumps air into the converters helping burn off raw fuel. They will be fine without the air pump.
