K Member Removal
I've been doing a lot of searching on the forum for a detailed outline on how to remove the old k member when doing the lsx swap. Does anyone have a link to an old post, or a sticky?? Wanting to get started on the next steps!!
Thanks!!
Thanks!!
Re: K Member Removal
6 bolts hold it to the frame
I prefer to leave all the suspension attached, so I d/c the front brake lines, pitman and idler arms, and upper strut nuts. Whole assembly should fall out the bottom. When there's a drivetrain still installed, I put Dolly's under the oil pan and trans, then lift the car off it
Be sure to chain the springs to the a-arms or you risk a trip to the doc/dentist

Perfecto. Took it off the other night. Other than a lot of rust since it's over 20 yrs old it came off pretty easily. Ordered the new bmr and this ls conversion is well underway!
