I have had this whip for some time now and was going to do a turbo lsx build, but then I just got offered a sweet trade for this 455 that has forged internals stage two heads and Rochester carb all fresh rebuilds. Id like to drop this in the bird but I also want to do a hawks thirdgen sophn front end. This comes with engine mounts for sbc or bbc or non ..... what do I do here? I know the stock k member can be used with A body engine mounts from a remotest or gto, but again I want to all sophn. Wil those mounts still bolt up to the spohn k member?

 

I thought the GTO mounts had to be welded on to the factory k-member?

 

i was also told cutlass mounts, im not sure on the modificastions needed but i was told these mounts require the least and there are no mounts that require NO MODs

 

Im most likely not going to make the trade and hold on to my 50 chevy project for later.

i think im going to stick with the original plan of turbo lsx at a strong 450whp
