How to make a 350 with 400/400 and tpi?

Hi
I'm new to engine building but I know there are alot of knowledgeable people here that can help me out. I want to put a 350 in my 87 iroc that makes 400/400 to the wheels, and uses the tpi setup. I plan on porting and expnding the runners, possibly changing the manifold to a high flow edelbrock one, vortec style if thats what I go with, and beefing the tranny, preferably a 700r4 as itll be a daily driver. What I got so far to play with....
- hooker 2460 shortys
- a rebuilt 305 in the car now
- rebuilt 700r4 in the car now
- 1987 4wd v10 truck block, 4 bolt, roller, cast 14093638
- vortec heads l129, 12558062 (planned on selling but if theyre what i need so be it)
- 9 bolt rear end
- stock driveshaft
- planned suspension upgrade before the engine swap (UMI everywhere)
Any tips or ideas?

the rear end you have in the car now is a 10 bolt. as for 400hp/400 to the wheels well you need more hp in the motor because of parasitic loss through the trans and the accessory's it take power to turn these things so you will lose some before it gets to the wheels . you can have a 450 hp motor and only get 380 to the wheels.
I would do a 383 stroker motor. use a good set of heads. and do you want to stay fuel injected of go with a carb there are a bunch of choices. and its all about how much you want to spend. and what you want to end up with in the end

Curious what's magic about those numbers.
