Engine Questions

I'm guessing this is a really broad question, but I am not a mechanic at all...

What would be an estimated price on switching out a stock 305 with a new (or rebuilt) 350?

We don't need a lot of power, and we don't want to be guzzling gas...

if you only want a reliable driver. your best money is to rebuild/repair the engine you already have . unless of course its a "window" block or something bad. you can buy crate engines all day for $2,500 . you MAY find cheaper , you just have to shop around

Re: Engine Questions

DEFIANTLY dont buy a block/engine someone has had laying around in their garage unless YOU KNOW them and can take it back once you find out its a boat anchor. Id buy a 350 crate motor. pretty sure they come with a 3 year 100k warranty.

Re: Engine Questions

A crate motor is going to be your best option.
