86 vette 350 into 92 z28 305 car

Hey fellas, I picked up a 86 tpi vette engine a few months back thinking it would be a simple swap. I was originally told it was a steel head roller block,
but it turns out it's an aluminum head hyd. flat tapped block.
after a ton of research I'm learning a ton of things about this swap. I'm not 100 percent what to belive.
I'm told. , with these heads I need to use the 86 intake manifold (something to do with the bolt angles)
also have to tap a hole in them for the accessory drive of the 92.

I have the 86 computer but I guess it's a MAF system would it be better to use the 305 map system ? Just change the manifold and injectors to the 350 stuff and run all the 305 equipment.
I notice the distributer and coil are different between the two can I just run the 305 equipment for that, and also the 305 water neck ?

Do I have to run the fbody oil pan ?

And the computer. If I do the swap and leave the 305 computer untouched would it run long enough to drive it to a shop to be worked on..or should i try the 86 vette computer. I can't do programing stuff.. I just turn wrenches...

Do you guys know of any other suprizes I should run into. I'm sure I'm not the first person to do this but this is the first time I've done this.

Also I want to change the cam, and install roller rockers. Any sugestions?.. looking to make 350 plus hp, I like the vette valve covers would the work with roller rockers?

Any tips greatly appreciated

vettes didn't get aluminum heads until 87, when they also got the roller cams... you should really double check everything on your engine to see what you actually have.

but, yeah, the 87-91 aluminum Vette heads have the 55-86 straight intake bolt pattern so an 87 and newer intake won't bolt right up to it without a little bit of grinding on the intake. they also don't have the exhaust crossover in them, so you won't have a functioning egr valve without a tube from an exhaust manifold if that matters to you..
