Help! 1991 L03 swap to 1988 monte carlo L69
Help! 1991 L03 swap to 1988 monte carlo L69
This is my first post so please work with me. I would like to put my TBI intake and dist on the 1988 305. Can this be done without alot of changes or not ? Could you guys help me with any advice. I do not want to change cam, or heads. What is the easiest and best way to do this ? I am wanting to just get this car running with the 75,000 mile L69 and not ready to do a 350 or crate swap. Thank you for your time.

Change the little parts from the L03 over to the L69 and it's 100% bolt-in.
Accessory drive on the front.
Oil pressure switch / sender; yours may be a combination switch. The 88 used a sender down low and switch up high.
Knock sensor may be the same/ check part numbers before bothering.
The distributor interchanges.
I would change expansion plugs to brass.
And bottom end gaskets aren't a bad idea to do while you have easy access.

Thank you for your reply. From what I can tell from reading other posts the L69 is about the same as camaro just with a different intake. This is where I am not sure if I might need to change alot of parts like chip and wiring, etc. As long as the parts you posted are all that needs to be done I will do the swap. Thank you again.
