91 camaro 3.1 to 383 swap
Hey guys, I'm new to this. Ive had my 91 camaro 3.1 for 4 years and I've had nothing but problems with it. I now found metal shavings in my oil and I think that's a good sign that I should remove the engine haha. I want to put a 383 in, I've seen alot of people do it, but I have some questions. 1st, what would be the best transmission to put in it? And would I have to get a new drive shaft and rear end? Second, my biggest concern is, do I have to change out any computers or sensors/sensor plugs? And is there an easy way to switch to tbi? Or would I have to swap to a carburetor? If so, what would I have to change and/or get rid of?

2. Driveshaft, maybe, maybe not. Axle, you should but don't necessarily have to.
3.You can do it without changing *too much*, but again that depends on what you want.
4. Your 3.1 isn't tbi anyway. You can make a 383 anything induction you want. You don't have to go carb though it is a common swap.
I know that all sounds like vague answers but they're vague questions. Do a lot of research. At this point it may be a project over your head, but with research it'll come closer to reality.
