So I took my car to the shop for a simple exhaust rattle. Next thing I know, we're pulling the motor for some snapped manifold bolts. One thing led to another, and now we're dropping in a 383.

Got the engine in, and she runs like a scalded cat! Almost too much power.

 

Would be nice to find a shop here that didn't look at me like I was nuts for wanting to do anything with my car.

 

Have you ever dynoed your FIRST 421? Considering doing the same type of build for the street, but can't seem to find any dynos on similar builds.

Thanks for the link and cool build! Have tried search before but couldn't find bigger than a 383, i was kinda surprised at your numbers though, would've expected closer to 500 hp/tq, did you ever finish tuning it?
