So...how does my swap sound

Ok, opinions are welcomed granted that I will be doing this no matter what anyone has to say. Hopefully this will all get started in March but here goes:
383 (from an L98 block)
TPI(miniram hopefully)
AFR 195 cc heads
Custom chip, headers, etc.
Backed by a :
Tremec TKO 5 Speed
and
3.45 or 3.73 Posi rear
Now these are just the basics, anyone who has done anything like this before (especially w/ the 383) I would appreciate any tips on other engine parts. Also after this is done I will completely swap the suspension, add some SFC's, etc to really make it stick. A question I would like to ask is based on this, how much power, respectfully, should it have?
Thanks for any good advice and hopefully this will all take off soon, wish me luck.

Or what about these heads:
World Products Motown 220, anyone know anything about these?
And would it be possiblr to use the stock L98 heads or some Corvete aluminum heads?

Ok i am going to try and take a stab at this,

You are ok to use the stock heads, or vette aluminum heads, just make sure everything bolts up to your intake manifold, then again if you are running a pretty radical cam you might want to have new springs and vavles put in. Are you running a more radical cam??

The engine combo sounds pretty nice, but you need to throw in a little more info, like what cam you are running in the motor, that would help a lot more

Well good luck and i hope to hear back from ya!!!
I know that i am running into a lot of problems right now with my engine swap and it is really starting to **** my offffffff

We need more info what cam are you gonna use? The motor really depends on the cam. I agree about using the LT4 manifold and 6spd.

AFR's are some of the best street heads on the market. If you're not totally set on aluminum heads, check out the Pro Action Iron Lightning heads, they have really good flow numbers. They are what I am gonna use for my 383.

I haven't decided on the cam but I've narrowed it down to 3.
The LPE 219, the LT4 Hotcam, and the TPIS ZZ9 or ZZ9X or something like that. I've chosen these because I'll be using TPI and can't use too radical of a cam. I'm sure I'll have lots of other questions as I get closer to starting. Oh and about the six speed, I thought about it but I've heard lots of stories of how first gear's a real dog and you can only get good use of it w/ 3.73 or higher gears. Tell me if I'm wrong it's just what I've heard. And the LT4 manifold, would I be able to take one out of a junkyard or can I would I have to order it somewhere?

Oh and the bottom end end will be made with a stroker kit w/ KB Hypereutectic pistons, probably around 10.5:1 compression. Also some headers, don't know what kind yet, that will lead into true dual exhaust, no cats, no h or x-pipe, if possible, and they will either lead out to the sides or just dump right before my rear tires. I know it will probably be loud but hopefully those Spintech cruiser mufflers will quiet it down a little bit. Oh and does anyone know anything about the chainless timing gears, in theory I see how it should be better than a chain, any opinons? Just tell me if I've left anything out, I know pretty much everything I want to put into it, it all depends on funds now.

I have the Tremec TKO in my 86, and I love it!
First gear is definately not a dog with that trans.
I'd suggest getting the spohn trans crossmember.

I have one thing to say about the pistons you will be using. I was reading the new Chevy Hi Performance and they had a special on pistons. I read about the diffrences between cast, hyperutetic, and forged pistons. It said the hyperutetic was only to be used on application between 300-400 power applications. And forged were to be on higher horsepower that that. So reading your post about your parts I figure that you will be making more than 400 horsepower. So you might want to think about changing your pistons to forged. But thats my opinion I just thought Id let you know.

I think I actually saw that article, I just haven't read it. I just thought since most kits come with the hypereutectic that they were better. And I didn't mean that the tremec 1st gear was a dog, I meant that's what I've heard about the six speeds 1st gear.
