Running New Fuel Line

I'm running a new fuel line from my fuel tank (rear mounted because racecar) and I'm wondering where i should run it. The car was a pre built drag car when I bought it and the line that was in there was a twisted solid line. I'm planning of changing it to a Braided PTFE line. Right now, runs beside coilovers right after filter and pump that are mounted right under fuel cell. Runs along bottom of car on passenger side, comes up into wheel well and than there's a hole drilled into the wheel well where it comes through. What's a better way to run it into the engine bay? Thought about bringing it up between engine and frame but won't the headers (heat they give off) be an issue?
