hi, i am building a 355 tpi engine and i currently have a 305. i will be using the crank from the 305 to build the 355 except it will be balance properly. i was wondering if i can do the same thing with the connecting rods or do i have to buy new ones???? thanks a lot

IIRC, the common 305 conrods are thinner and weaker. There are a few that are the same as 350's, but I dunno which ones.

If my damn scanner had an updated driver for WindowsXP then I could scan a pic for ya. Sorry

If you take a trip to the local machine shop, they can show you the two side by side, and they'll probably sell you the 350 rods for dirt cheap.

If you're gonna have it all balanced, then there won't be a problem with using 350 rods on a 305 crank.
