Help 87 se vert 5.3ls swap dash wiring + pics

Hello i am needing some help with pointers on where to start with the dash wiring removal and where to start I have an 87 special edition convertible with a ls swap and trying to install a new standalone wiring harness already has 5.3ls w 4l60e already have underhood engine harness part removed in the car. Already have a quick disconnect harness sourced from jolt systems but where do I start under dash have dash out and tore apart and has viper alarm system how can I remove old harness with an inteltronix digital dash should I cut the old harness and remove all the wiring? Has anyone ever ran one of these harness where is the best place to drill the firewall for quick disconnect ? Old harness is ran through firewall with super small holes squeezing the wiring how to get through firewall must cut idk? I want to keep the lights and steering wheel wiring good and under there is kind of overwhelming. I have removed the alarm box already what next ?

You really need the wiring and dash instruments in-tact and working before attempting the LS swap. You integrate the new wiring harness at the C100 and C207 plug. You have to identify what input each instrument needs and then provide that through the C100 plug.

Honestly, if you're here asking all these questions, you're already in over your head. There was no reason to get that "quick" disconnect unless you bought it for the looks. If you read the swap guide it tells you all you need to do in there.

You're doing so much at once no one is really going to be able to tell you what to do on your car specifically over a text based message board. From what you have going on there, it looks like quite complicated and even I would need to stop and look at everything before starting in, and I know what I am into doing custom wiring. No one is going to be able to tell you what to do to remove an old alarm since we don't know what all is cut or done.

My advise would be find someone to physically help you, or a mechanic that will do what you want.

I almost did the bulkhead connectors like that as it seemed like the cleanest way to extend the harness but I got tired of spending money so I just extended them and used the factory pass through.

As scooter said, you have alot of changes at once. If any one item is broken you are not going to know which end it is. Honestly it seems overwhelming starting off but buy a bunch of small zip ties, label your wires, and zip tie the wires you think should connect together together. And flag the wires you think you can remove. Once you run out of wires, go back over it and see if you agree with your self... if so start cutting and splicing. I would say you are committed at this point so I'm not going to try to talk you out of it.

Removing the alarm should simply be disconnecting it and then removing the starter disable relay for the alarm and fixing that wiring.

Personally since you already have the LS in the car I would wire it up so you can run it, this typically with most aftermarket harnesses is only a few wires.

There is a certain threshold of changes though where it becomes easier to just wire everything custom.
