Possibly engine swaps using 84 v6 non wc t5.

So I have siezed up 2.8 with t5.
this car is currently my parts car but don’t want to scrap it instead of use it as a rebuild car for fun.
i keep seeing people use 3.1 but no specific exactly.
im planning on doing a full swap and want to know what is all compatible engines without no adapters.
my main thoughts bare buying a cheap Malibu with a 3.4 and try pull exhaust pcm etc and install

A front wheel drive 3.4 will not swap in only a 3.4L out of a camaro or a firebird. Same thing for the 3.1L

Re: Possibly engine swaps using 84 v6 non wc t5.

Its my understanding that the 2.8L and 3.1L are the same engine but with different displacement. i just removed the 3.1l v6 in my car. Currently undergoing a LT1 swap as i type...

Is there any other potential candidates to look into the 84 just a parts car so not a huge rush in the end but rather rebuild her rather then letting her rot to nothing

The only easy V6 options are 2.8L, 3.1L or 3.4L from a camrao or firebird.
