I was just wondering how accurate this dyno2000 program is. I would like to find out before I dump all this money into a motor buildup. I have the exact cam, compression, and very close intake and head flow ratings inputed.

My combo is as follows:
-1991 350 chevy longblock
-forged pistons with 9.73:1 compression
-summit stage 1 rods
-stock type cast crank
-1.6 ratio rocker arms
-comp cams camshaft with 218 intake 224 exhaust with about .50 lift
-edelbrock performer rpm manifold
-holley 650 cfm double pumper
-factory heads will receive three angle valve job, new seats, resurfacing, and a good porting and polishing
-exhaust consists of dynomax headers to a 3 1/2 inch pipe to flowmaster muff
the heads are off a 1991 trans am with the 350 TPI

the reason I ask about the accuracy is I didn't know hp and torque #'s like those could be acheived using factory heads, worked over or not.

Can I acheive those #'s with this combo?

HP is about 450 @ 5500 rpm, tq is about 450 @ 4500 rpm with a very broad power band to about 6000 rpm

Also, using that much lift on a cam with 1.6 ratio rockers, will I have clearance problems?


ANY input would be greatly appreciated before I spend all this money!

I DONT KNOW ANY THING ABOUT THE DYNO 2000,BUT I READ IN SUPER CHEVY MAG THAT THE 1.6 TOOK AWAY H/P OVER THE 1.5 ROCKER IN MOST OF THEIR COMBOS.JUST A THOUGHT TO KEEP IN MIND. MINE 89 CAM 327 350 FACT H/P,.030 BORE 488 LIFT CRANE I.5 ROCKS, 10 TO 1 FLAT TOPS,EDB PERFORMER WITH 650 DPR HOLLEY,HOME MADE COLD AIR INDUCTION,KEITH BLACK PISTONS,LUNATY STREET RODS,AFR 2.02 HEADS,IT HAS AROUND 400 H/P IM HAPPY WITH IT.
