1986 Iroc Z 305 TPI engine swap
Can I use a 305 engine from a 1992 z28 TPI camaro in a 1986 Iroc Z TPI camaro? Would this cause problems with using the ecm and wire harness from the 86? What else would need swapped or would I need to find a 305 from an 86?

the long block from the 92 will direct swap if you use everything ecm and wiring related from the 86. Only physical concern is the center intake bolts on each head. Those 4 bolts are on a different angle than the 86. Either oblong the bolt holes of the 86 intake manifold or use the 92 intake manifold base. The tune of the 86 ecm should be able to handle the minor changes of the new engine but it may not be optimal.

You can still use the coil in cap hei or swap to small cap divorced coil.
