632 tall deck BBC in Third Gen

Getting ready to put a 632 tall deck BBC in my 86 Camaro and was wondering if anyone has used RaceCraft K-members and are they any good? Headers I will be using are Quay 2-3/8 into a 4 inch collector, which is gonna be tight. The video on here is great but need more info so i don't go down the wrong path and wasting money. Has anyone already done this and if so what lessons learned do you have for me as I plan on doing it myself.

Honestly your best bet is motor plate it and kmember without the engine mounts imo. Thats gonna give you the header room. Im not sure how ed quays are run but i believe that size pipe goes ouside the frame rail for a couple tubes. Getting a header in with that size and collector under car could be possible tho but only with the right engine oil pan and no kmember engine mounts. I got 2.125” and 3.5” custom made longtubes that fit good. Theres room to go abit bigger but it may be tight. Def more possible if separate tubes and slip on collectors for sure but im turbo car so needed to be one piece.

theres a bbc build like this in the drag racing forum here. Arctic z or something like that was user name. I think used quays or lemons

Thanks a ton! I am planning on a front motor plate but don't I need a mid motor plate as well if not using motor mounts?

Yeah i would consider one. But they dont interfere too terribly. Cut to fit, it doesnt need to be much just a little support
