Re: Holy Crap!!!!
Its still a perfectly good thirdgen. Better than it sitting in a yard rusting away to nothing. If he decides to get rid of it, i bet someone could put some decent wheels on it, take the vinyl roof off, and play with the paint alittle and it'd be a nice car.
To each their own...just glad to see that it seems to have work into it as opposed to being slapped together with autozone parts. And its not sitting in the weeds somewhere rotting away to nothing.

I was raised that if you have something to say then say it. I mean our fore fathers died for that as well as the troops in Iraq fighting for our freedom. So with that said, That is pure desecration of a Beautiful car. I would rather see that thing burning than sitting on Daytons. VINYL TOP??? WTF???? That ummm..guy for fear of being booted, needs his @$$ kicked.

I see so many domestic cars and tuners like this, that I started just to not care. The first time I saw a camaro that someone had tried to look tunerish I when up and ask why they waste there money and didn't just buy a honda.

Re: Holy Crap!!!!
other than the vinyl top and the daytons it looks pretty good... its somthing different and most ppl are afraid of different but if we dont try different things then we wouldn't have all the sweet third gen camaros and birds such as Sinister Z or CamaroGuy18's camaro. With some chrome irocs and no vinyl top that could be a sweet third gen. At least he didn't modify the body...

Without the vinal top, and the gold rims, i don't think it looks that bad. i like that blue color. Sorry, Camaro does not work with a vinal top. oh and its not a full vinal top, its called somethin else, but i forgot the word, it's like lumbar or sumthin.
-----------
also forgot about the gold mirrors. make those the same blue as the body.

Two words: Airplane glue.
Plain and simple. Inhaling volatile substances just turns your brain into swiss cheese. After years of prolonged abuse, there is no hope of rehabilitating those people.

Re: Holy Crap!!!!
I personally think it's pretty creative. I've seen MUCH worse.
And as far as the owner's nationality goes ... were you guys born in the stone age or something? I know a white dude in my town that drives a lowrider Caddy on Daytons complete with curb feelers and green metallic paint with a gold grill. I don't think he really WANTS to be white, but he is. Now, I'm from the South, and I will be the first to admit that I have not always been the most racially-sensitive person, but why do you even need to say something like that? I hope the owner reads finds this post, finds you, and shoves a burrito up your tailpipe. If you wouldn't say it in person, don't say it at all.
At least the blue paint and gold wheels compliment each other color-wise.
And I agree with ghettocrusier 100%. There are so many people on this board that think they have "nice cars" when they have nothing but rust-rotten, beat up pieces of junk. At least this owner laid down some time and money on a third-gen. And while you don't have to agree with his sense of style, you have to admit that it was at least done with a sense of pride. You know he is proud of this. He probably spent lots of hard-earned money on that car.
On a different note:
Hmmmm ... interesting. Something about rust and Corvette just doesn't add up. Anybody want to explain why? LOL.

Yea, DCOWBOYS1975, your right, i accidentally hit the "l" instead of the "u". and wow gcgarner, talk about redundant, you repeated yourself a ton in that last post. but i know where you're coming from. like i said earlier, i don't mind it, just a few things here and there to change, but i have no problem with it.

Re: Holy Crap!!!!
I really don't have much of a problem with this car. Sure the paint and wheels are a little out there, but look at the body. All the lines look good, no rust patches, no huge spoiler, and it its in great shape. If it had normal paint and wheels, it would look like a well restored normal thirdgen.
Maybe back in the day fiberglass rusted lol

Could be worse I guess. I have seen some cars lately with wheels so big you'd need a step ladder to get in them.

Re: Holy Crap!!!!
Seems like a few people have a problem about this thread. Honestly I think it’s a perfectly legitimate to ask, what the heck was this person thinking, when you see something that just does not make since.
Sure, unless you are the owner you really can’t say what the answer would be for sure, but at least by guessing, we get an idea if our since of taste is at least similar to the majorities.
I say, they tried to make something look unique and cool. In my opinion they got 1 out of 2 right, for it is certainly different.
I wouldn’t do that to my car that is for sure; I think it looks like Tiger.
Though given a choice been the Tiger Car and the Fiero I saw during lunch that had the 5 foot tall wing on the back, or the Smart car, I think I would still rather own the Tiger Carmaro.
Just my 2 cents.
