Swapping A 350 Into An 84 Need Help!!!

Car came with a 305/700r4 and im gonna swap in from a non emissions vehicle a 350 so i want to delete All emissions if i can and was wondering what i can or cant take out, what to expect, and what to do with the left over unused electrical connections. It's not mine so personally im not too fond of the engine bay so is there a sticker diagram of all the emissions? Thanks for the help .

Assuming you're going with a Carb'd 350 the process is easy. You need oil pressure, temperature, and tach connections coming out of the main pigtail. Everything else you can tie-up and tuck away. Just depends on how deep you want to dive in as to what you can remove.

If you're trying to reuse the TBI or computer controlled carb it gets a bit more complicated and you have to leave a lot of the factory stuff there.

Just unplug the wire harness from the ECM under the dash on the passenger side, pull it through the hole in the passenger-side kick panel (after removing the plastic pass-through connector) all in one piece. You must KEEP the wire harness on the driver-side that goes through the fire wall next to the master cylinder (C100 bulkhead connector). You need a non-computer controlled carb and distributor, and if the transmission is automatic, you need a non-computer system to control the lock-up torque converter...

You can also just run a non-lockup torque converter.

It's easy on a '84. Monster Transmission sells a kit for around $100...
