New to the scene but wanted to give a huge shoutout to everyone who's been posting info/advice/guidance/build list/etc. over the years. I'm soon to be retired and looking for a project to keep me busy and the 3rd Gen Camaro resto/mod path seems to be pulling me in. I've yet to secure my 3rd Gen body (looking for a decent roller) and may have walked into a fortunate situation - a buddy has a 2003 5.3L LS from a Chevy Silverado wreck (still fires up and runs, but can't drive since the cab is smashed in a rollover), 4160 trans, wiring harness and ECU. I'd like to swap the 5.3L into the 3rd Gen, so also welcome advice/guidance/pro's vs cons, problem areas to be aware, etc. I'm waiting for additional info on wear/tear/mileage on it. but of the price is right I may be grabbing this from him as the basis for the project and working my way from there. Again, thanks to all and keep on sending updates, recommendations, build specs, etc.
