i got a 305 TPI in an 86 Iroc. it doesnt have too much power, or at least as much as i want. i got an auto as well. i want to drop a manual in her too. i need some advice and feeback from the masters. which is better:
-a 350 TPI with a t-5
-a 350 Tpi with a T-56
-a LT1 with a t-56
-or a Ls1 with a T-56 (although i think its out of my league)
what do you guys think.

I vote for lt1 and t56.
They are getting cheaper all the time.
With a set of home ported stock heads and a hot cam kit ,and a good exhaust it is possible to have 400 plus hp real cheap.
I saw an lt1 for 1200 dollars not too long ago.

Go with LT1, you wont regret it , it's not that hard to swap ...it took me 8 days .... and some tool trowing action !!! you just need to match about 20 wires and that's it, your beast will have a new life
