I have a 92 camaro rs. It has a 305 and it has 160,000 miles on it. I have around 600 to 700 dollars to spend. What are some things I can do to get it running better? I was thinking about a rebuild kit. But, I'm not sure how much that will help the performance. I know I don't have the money to buy a new motor. Will a rebuild kit get it running like new? It just has no power and I'm really unsatisfied with it as it is. Can anybody help?

 

Well Dave from what i have seen on here the 305 isn't all that bad of an engine but you'll definitly want to repalce the cam, intake and heads on the motor to get some kind of performance out of it. Best advice i can tell you is before you decide on anything do extensive research and ask around.
