I can get a 383 stroker wich has been perfectly balanced and puts out 425 HP cant remember torque and their are dyno slips to prove. this is for 5000 Canadaian is it worth it

It really depends. Is it a carb motor or TBI or TPI.

For a high level comparison you can use my experience. I'm building a 383 w/ a super ram for my 88 IROC. Total cost is over 5000 US dollars.
It's a forged rotating assembly w/ AFR heads and a super ram top and base.

 

it is a carbed engine dont know everything about it yet will find out on the weekend
but i believe it is all forged parts
4 bolt mains all good stuff
