v6 to v8 fuel line

v6 to 350 v8 in 84 camaro.Whats a good way to run a fuel line?
I need to get to the passenger side fuel pump from the drivers side.I thought about running it down below in front of the crossmember ,that seems close to the steering linkage tho.Looking thru the threads on the early v8 cars the line crossed over at the back of the transmission tunnel and came up the passenger side if Im not mistaken.Anybody have a good way to do this? What type line and fittings did you use?

My buddy ran into the same problem. Its not a good idea to the
fuel line in front of the cross member. What if you hit a rock or some debris on the road, gas everywhere We found a v8 car in the junkyard and cut the fuel lines right behind the transmission. From there it runs up over the transmission to the passenger side and into the engine bay. We made the connections with gas line rubber hose. Not the greatest setup but better than running the lines in front of the motor.

I've had mine running across the front of the crossmember for 2-1/2 years. Absolutely no problems. It really isn't that exposed. Use steel line, though, not all rubber.

The V8 line over the transmission is held in place by a clamp that uses a stud that isn't there for V6 cars. Having it dangling and hitting the tranny is a lot worse than the "exposure" it may have on the crossmember. It probably stays cooler on the crossmember as well.
