do i need to change the thermostat for a motor swap?
i curently have a 84 TA with a 305.. im putting in a 350.. will this mean i need to change the thermostat too?? which one should i get?

You don't "need" to change the thermostat. It's a good idea to do it while the radiator is drained, though. They have been known to fail.
The stock thermostat is 195 degrees. Cooler typically means you'll make slightly more power. I've used a 160 in the summer when spending time at the track (cools down more and quicker), but it probably isn't necessary. I use 180 in the winter just so the heater works better.
