victor jr under a stock hood and no prob
hey guys check out this link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1811351216
that guys used a victor jr. intake and it still fit under his stock hood. i have an 89 formula with the buldge hood and i poped off the little sreen and looked in with a flashligth whilke my hood was down and i have a good inch to a inch and a half worth of room before i hit anything. i have an 14x3 edelbrock aircleaner i got from pepboys. also its on a 305 TBI. my question is with an inch of room would i be able to drop in a carbed 350 with a performer rpm intake? how much taller is this intake over stock ? thanks

Im not sure about the TBI, but a performer RPM with a Carter carb and I think it was a 1" drop base aircleaner fit under the hood of my TA just fine, about 3/4" clear in the front.
I'd beware of Edelbrock's quality control (or lack of), I would have that manifold on my car but it was manufactured so badly I guess it was my mistake I didnt throw the intake gaskets on both sides to check it first before I even attempted to put it on my car. Thats beyond strike 3 for them and me, I refuse to take another shot in the dark with them. If you really want it, leave some lead time. You might end up with what I returned.

That carb and intake will fit under your hood , but not with the edelbrock air cleaner. You will need this GM aircleaner base.
