i have this so called "350" that i just bought.
i just found the engine codes for it and they tell me that the engine is a 307.
the engine runs, but not right. figured maybe the carb that is on it is too big, its a 750 cfm. the engine block code is 3932373
can anyone verify if what i found is true, or if it really is a 350?

The engine should be a 307 alright. 3.875 bore 3.25 stroke. Maybe it doesnt run right because the carb is in need of a rebuild. How does the carb look?

 

the carb is brand new, just put it on about 2 weeks ago. but im pretty sure that if the engine is a 307 the 750 cfm carb is too much for it to handle.
im also going to check the distributor because the guy I bought it from put it in himself, and probably didnt line it up right.
