harness swap in LG4 to TPI?
I would like to swap in a TPI motor in both my '81 Elcamino, and my '82 T/A. The stock ecm in both cars have two harnesses. One from the dash, and the other from the engine bay. My question is would I need to swap both, or does the dash harnes work? Am I heading in the right direction with this question?

The TA dash harness will probably work as is. The El Camino you will have to move the wires around on the connector from the dash to the ecm/engine. I'd suggest you get a good wiring diagram, you'll need it.
Both you will have to replace the engine-ecm wiring harness.

Dash harness on the 82 needs to be modified slightly.
You'll need to run Injector power to the engine harness from an ignition source as well as Ignition On ECM power.
The ALDL is wired up differently as well.
