Pistons

I just put in a corvette L98 in my 87 Z28. I replaced the stock LG4. I have heard that the vette L98's have lighter pistons, is this true? Also what kind of pistons are they (Forged, Hieperutectic)? Any info would be appreciated, also any web sites with good in depth info on C4s.

I thought they were cast myself. I believe the engines were identical to the ones in the f-bodys except the f-body cars had more restrictive exhaust manifolds which caused the difference in power???

Vettes had aluminum heads after mid-'86. That makes them lighter.

Never heard any differences in pistons, though.

Forgot about the heads, and I'm running a set of those too.
