Yup, i'd say Santa Pod as well. Also, (not to toot my town's horn too much) Santa Pod is only 15 miles from Bedford, loads of places to stay, and one of the best river banks in the UK, the Bedford embankment is quite simply lovely, especialy on a september evening.

if you need hotels in this area, (remember, Bedford is only 50 - 55 mins from london, and just off the main motorway out of london, the M1) i'd be glad to provide you with details of some hotels, most of wich are located in Shakespere Road, a very pretty road that contains many hotels and large houses, most around 100 years old. it is also 2 mins from Bedford train station.

p.s. Bedford train station is the end of the line from Kings Cross or St Pancress in London. it will cost you around 16 pounds per person to get here.

if you need escorting to Santa Pod, i live 30 mins from there, and coming from London, you will pretty much pass my house. there is a train station in Bedford, and the line goes into Kings cross.
