Hi Powermite,
How much did those bad boys cost you? When you say they don't fit do you mean they're clashing with the wheel diameter or the wheel depth?I'm trying to get as much info as I can before I buy some wheels to go over my Brembo monobloc 4-pot calipers.

Eric,
Well as you know ive got 18" but these are made in an unusual way.The centres are only 16" and then the rim in manufactured to make it up to 18"
What we both need are 18"rims that are flat on the front a bit like front wheel drive cars then that will give enough room for the caliper. That caliper of mine is 6"wide so needs a lot of clearance.
They are 6 pot and are similar to those used on touring cars and endurance cars like at Lemans.
Cant tell you what i paid but if you were to buy from Baer i think they are about $2000 each.
You may see what i mean about the wheel in this pic.
Bare in mind the disc is 13"dia and you can see that the centre of the rim is not much more

Hi Powermite,
I've done a few searches and posted a few topics about fitting big brakes inside wheels.Haven't had much joy though. One option I thought of was to get some wheels(I'll almost certainly get Boyd Coddingtons from a shop in Arizona) in a 4th gen pattern.I'll then need some Skulte 2" adaptors. This extra 2" should improve the clearance enough for the calipers. What are your thoughts?

Iroc,
The brakes fitted on my car now are vette ZR1 calipers and discs.
My original 16"wheels wouldnt quite fit over them, although if i had ground a bit of the caliper casting away they probably would have, but i think the 16"Camaro wheels offer a bit more clearence so should fit ok,
The stub axles need to be modified and drill though, its not just a case of bolting them straight on
