Great looking Z28!

 

Hello! Very nice-looking Camaro.

I was in London for several days back in '07, and never saw even one American car there, much less a 3rd-gen. I'd imagine you get a lot of looks with your Z28.

 

Thanks! You certainly get a lot of looks in one of these over here....there’s a lot of new mustangs in the uk but you tend not to see many camaros... they get more attention than a Ferrari in these parts!

 

I live in a smaller city than yours (about half of York's population); like you, I see several new Mustangs on the road, and a few new Camaros. There are no old Mustangs around, and I have the only 3rd gen anywhere around here; they're becoming more and more rare.

With all the manufacturers here---especially GM---hell-bent on going to EVs (Chevrolet is dropping the Camaro outright after 2023), I'm kind of expecting to witness something similar to what I experienced back in the mid-'70s, when the Great Oil Embargo, coupled with auto insurance companies slapping big surcharges on performance cars, caused the Muscle Car era to practically disappear overnight.
