Better go Iroc-z or Croissfire Injection
Better go Iroc-z or Croissfire Injection
Hello i'm new to this forum, i'm Vincent and i'm from France. My childhood dream was to own a Z28 (maybe because of Special Rescue Police Winspector) and now i can accomplish my dream. But there is some question...
I can buy two of these near my location, in very good condition from a passionate distributor specialized in american collector car.
The first a Z28 Iroc-Z from 1986 - 190hp
The second is a Z28 Crossfire Injection from 1983 - 165 hp
Both have nearly 100 000 km
Is there any preference between this two models ? Maybe one is more stronger, easier to maintain and maybe more interresting to collect ?
An important fact is that the crossfire is 5000€ cheaper (and it's not negligible)
Thank's for your advice !

The crossfire car won't be as fun as the Iroc, but then again, both are poor on power. If it were me, I would get the car that is in the best condition.

The TPI will have more after market support that the 2 year only cross fire . Both will be slow by modern standards. Buy the one thats in the best condition or the one that trips your trigger. by that I mean , which one would you not be able to walk away from in a parking lot without turning around for another look! Then ,If you have the funds, consider doing an LS swap.

Thanks for your answer
Honestly both will make me not be able to walk away from in a parking lot without turning around for another look!
i don't think they will be slower than my Audi a6 2.7tdi 180hp because she is very heavy. And to be honest i'm after the look, the story of the car, the unique piece (here in France there is not that much camaro from that gen) and also the V8 sound (which is also not common here), but slower or faster i think it's a "point de vue" !
