Hooker Comp Headers Coated

Has anybody bought the Hooker Comp headers coated? Does the coating last? Does it keep the heat in good?

I was going to get a set and have them Jet-Hot coated, or buy them direct from Jet-Hot, but they won't answer my emails so screw them!

No experience with it, but when I have talked to jet hot it takes them 2 or 3 days to respond. They say it is because they have so many emails come in.

I don't know how it works with third gens. but a friend of mines dad has a HOT 327 (12.7:1 comp) in his 67 camaro. The thing runs cool as a cucumber and I have not seen ANY ware on them at all. he has super comp plus though I don't know the difference. He loves them and I am thinking about getting them

I've emailed them before when I was thinking of getting the Edelbrock TES headers. Now I'm ready to order, all I want to know is the price for their Hooker Comp's precoated. I've emailed them 3 times about that in two weeks with no response.

Was your friend's coated by jet-hot or did they come from hooker coated?

I'd say getting the Hooker coating would be cheaper and probably just as good as jet-hot. Especially since they pissed me off.

I have the hooker supper comps in my 89 TA, my buddie told me that the coating they put on isn't that good so I had mine sand blasted then I coated them myself with the por-20. This was 4 months ago and they are still looking good but I can't say deffinatly that the coating they use sucks.

If you look into it the black paint coating is only meant to keep it from rusting during shipping. You are supposed to sandblast them and put a high temp paint on.

Ceramic Coated headers are sold by Hooker. Does anybody have them? Those are the ones I want to know about.
