Explanation of "Centering"

I was informed by a mechanic that my catalytic converters are "centering" on me?? I do not have a clue what this means.....any explanation would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Maybe he said "sintering". Sintering is a metal forming process in which a shape is formed by compacting very hot (but not molten) powdered metal. I'm guessing that he means they are beginning to clog.

If I'm wrong though, somebody let me know what it means when your cats center, cause I have got no idea.

MikeS is right. "Sintering" not "centering"

Clogging. Get it replaced. Have you noticed lately that your car is down on power?
