Looks pretty cool. Probably helps a little more on 4th gens, but if you're thinking about doing a cutout it might be the way to go. It sounds better too. There's a video of a 4th gen Z with it on the site. An electric cut-out in that place might be pretty cool too.

Looks pretty good. I like mine where it is just before the right rear tire. That way the sound can bounce off the ground and I can really hear it.
I thought the purpose of a cut-out was to be like running open headders. I put mine in place of my cat. It sure sounds bad a$$. How is it possible to have more backpressure if you put the cut-out in front of the cat. If it's behind it, the cat blocks the flow of air.
Many people that have cut-outs have either a free flow cat or a gutted cat anyways. The reason people put it around the rear axle is to cut down on interior resonance and vibrations.
There should be no difference between running it where the cat is and putting it right before the rear axle because all there is between the two is a 3" straight pipe. The restriction is in the bends around the muffler and the muffler itself.
