gutting your cat and the sound you get...

now if i gut my cat .... what kinda sound should i expect?... crappy? good? loud? good and loud? crappy and loud?

it is free, basically, it cost me like 8 bucks for a pipe, the hollow cat sounded like crap, but the pipe sounds good

hollow sounds like crap. with a pipe on there with the same setup the sound will be better and louder

I didn't weld it, and now I wish I would have cause it is starting to leak, of cousre I didn't clamp it either because it was a tight fit, maybe I'll get the jb weld out

Replace the cat with a section of pipe and weld it on. That's how mine is and it sounds pretty good for being all stock.

im at the same point u are now.. the pipe is starting to push itself out of the cat, and it is leaking where my pipe is going into the cat.. I had inspection last week so i JB welded the whole thing for the second time.. first time i used quick JB quick weld and it didn't hold.. Looks kinda crappy, im going to eventualy get a real cat..

i gutted mine on my old RS and left the thing there, sorta rattled a bit but sounded BEAUTIFUL.
